Understanding Elder Law: Living Wills and Trusts Lecture at East Ridge Village

On July 10, 2025, East Ridge Village hosted a valuable lecture titled “Living Wills and Trusts” presented by Martha Mendez, Esq. Martha shared her expertise through a detailed slideshow called Elder Law: What, Who, When, Why, and How? guiding residents through important legal topics relevant to seniors.

During the presentation, Martha explained the role of Probate Court and why avoiding it when possible can save time and expenses. She also discussed revocable trusts and LBD (likely “Life Beneficiary Designations”), helping attendees understand key tools to protect their estates and wishes.

The event included a delicious spread prepared by our culinary team, and residents appreciated the opportunity to ask questions during a lively Q&A session.

Events like this empower our community with knowledge and peace of mind. Stay tuned for upcoming educational programs at East Ridge Village!
