A Sweet Start to the New Year: Pre-Rosh Hashanah Challah Bake at East Ridge Village

As the Jewish New Year approached, residents of East Ridge Village came together for a special Pre-Rosh Hashanah Challah Bake, filling the room with the comforting aroma of freshly baked bread and the joy of shared tradition.

Led by Rabbi Wolff and his family, the event was a beautiful way to prepare both spiritually and symbolically for the High Holidays. Residents rolled up their sleeves, braided golden strands of dough, and sprinkled their challahs with love, laughter, and a sense of community. For many, it was a time to reflect, reconnect, and share stories of family celebrations from years past.

Beyond the baking, Rabbi Wolff offered meaningful insights about the importance of Rosh Hashanah—the sweetness of new beginnings, the value of gratitude, and the blessings that come with togetherness.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us for this special gathering and to Rabbi Wolff for making it such a heartfelt experience.

Rabbi Wolff continues to lead a monthly service on the first Friday of every month from 4:00–5:00 PM, offering our residents ongoing opportunities for reflection, worship, and connection.

At East Ridge Village, each day brings opportunity for community, friendship and spiritual growth!
