Each of our professionals has diverse industry experience and senior living knowledge. But they share the desire to continually improve our community, and your retirement living experience.
Kenneth “Ken” Cormier is the Executive Director for East Ridge and has extensive experience as a Senior Living Community Executive Director, most recently having served as the Executive Director of Indian River Estates in Vero Beach. Additionally, Ken successfully provided leadership and operational direction and management at St. Joseph of the Pines in North Carolina. In addition to his professional experience Ken holds a Masters of Healthcare Administration from Tulane University.

Desiree Sebastian is the administrator of the Three Palms Health Center.
Mary Scott Russell
From an early background in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Mary Scott Russell launched an impressive career in public service. She served as Commissioner, Vice-Mayor, and ultimately Mayor of City of South Miami. She chaired Informed Families South Miami Coalition and, most recently, President and CEO of ChamberSOUTH chamber of commerce.
Russell has served on a wide variety of community boards focusing on Miami-Dade County many of which she has served as a board member and president. She was the 50th president of the Miami Dade League of Cities and the organization’s 4th woman leader. Time and again she has been acknowledged with awards and recognition including receiving Congressional recognition and tribute and is the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow award.
Russell now draws on her extensive leadership skills and background to develop marketing strategies to promote East Ridge. She continues to expand her current relationships and build new ones with civic, cultural, and health-related organizations and companies in Miami-Dade County. She also works closely with the Director of Sales and the entire sales team to create greater awareness of East Ridge and its vital role in the community.
Marcos Gonzalez is the Sales Director for East Ridge and previously served as the Assisted Living and Home Health Director.
Dining Services Director
Miguel Parks was born and raised in Honolulu, HI. He moved to California to attend college and graduated from Menlo College with a bachelor’s degree in business management and a minor in sports management. After graduation Parks became the assistant director of dining services for Vi at Palo Alto in Arizona and later the food and beverage director. After four years in Arizona, he then moved to Port Charlotte, Florida and served as the food and beverage director at South Port Square for four years before joining East Ridge as the Dining Services Director.
Virginia Duggan was born and raised in the Coral Gables and South Miami area, attending Our Lady of Lourdes Academy and graduating from Barry University with a master’s degree in social work. Before coming to East Ridge, she worked with the state of Florida Health and Rehabilitative Services’ Aging and Adult Unit and Jewish Family Services. She came to East Ridge in 1989 , performing social services and case management for independent living and assisted living . In 2010, she became director of the lifestyles department, developing the department to meet the psychosocial needs of the residents, and promoting and maintaining residents’ overall well-being.
David A. Kremer
Director, SantaFe Senior Living Foundation, Inc.
David Kremer previously served as executive director of the St. Camillus Foundation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 15 years. He formed active planned giving committees and worked with volunteers to secure support for those in assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care, ultimately raising $16 million to help seniors. He has worked as a volunteer, committee member and board member for local chapters of both the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, and was president of the southeast Wisconsin chapter of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning.
